ChristianaCare is hiring a full time Surgical Scheduler II for our Cancer Thoracic Surgery Department in our Helen F. Graham Center in Newark DE.

As Surgical Scheduler II you will coordinate and schedule patient surgeries diagnostic tests and referrals; arrange medical and cardiac clearances; complete pre-operative testing requirements; and review medications and health histories to ensure surgical readiness.

Work Schedule:

• Monday- Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Duties / Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for coordinating surgical and procedural scheduling to ensure seamless patient flow and support physician needs. Key responsibilities include arranging medical and cardiac clearances managing OR postings and joint surgical cases coordinating imaging testing and specialty appointments and counseling patients on pre and postoperative instructions. The position also maintains provider schedules prepares patient charts supports frontdesk and clinical staff as needed facilitates new diagnosis workflows and ensures timely followup and communication to support safe efficient and highquality patient care.

Position Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of experience in a private medical office and/or outside facility required.
• One year of surgical scheduling preferred.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Hourly Pay Range: $21.03 - $31.54

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills relevant experience and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
