Senior Front-End Engineer

ABOUT THE POSITION

📍Remote | 💼Full-Time | 💰Starting at $135K

Jeenie® is seeking a forward-thinking, passionate Senior Front- End Engineer to join its growing engineering department, reporting to the Head of Engineering. As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will be a key contributor and technical leader in shaping the user-facing experience across our web and mobile platforms. Your focus will be on building intuitive, performant, and scalable front-end applications using Vue 3 for web and React Native for mobile, all while collaborating closely with product managers and designers in Figma. You’ll help define front-end architecture, guide UI/UX implementation, and ensure quality and performance at scale.

This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about elegant interfaces, modern front-end architecture, and building accessible, inclusive digital experiences. While this is a front-end–focused role, understanding how to interface effectively with backend systems and APIs is essential.

You Will:

• Architect, implement, and maintain performant and accessible front-end applications using Vue 3 and React Native.

• Translate designs from Figma into pixel-perfect, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.

• Lead front-end technical discussions, code reviews, and mentor other developers.

• Champion best practices in accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and responsive design.

• Build and maintain a reusable component library and enforce UI consistency across platforms.

• Implement and improve front-end testing strategies using modern frameworks.

• Diagnose and resolve front-end performance or compatibility issues across platforms and browsers.

What You Bring:

• 7+ years of professional front-end development experience.

• 3+ years of experience with Vue.js (preferably Vue 3).

• 2+ years of experience with React Native for mobile development.

• Strong command of TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and component-based architecture.

• Deep experience translating Figma designs into production-ready UI.

• Proven ability to build and maintain complex, scalable UI systems and design systems.

• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and backend/frontend integration.

• Hands-on experience with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), responsive layouts, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Detox).

• Experience using Retool or similar low-code platforms to build internal tools or admin dashboards.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with real-time communication protocols (e.g., WebSockets, WebRTC).

• Experience working with monorepo setups or modular front-end architectures.

• Exposure to micro frontends or federated modules.

• Proficiency or curiosity in AI-assisted development workflows using Large Language Models (LLMs) (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.).

• Experience working in cloud environments or integrating front-end with containerized services (e.g., GCP, Docker).

• Basic scripting ability for build tooling (e.g., Bash, Node.js scripts).

• Experience with localization/internationalization (i18n) or building apps for global audiences.

• A “player-coach” mindset — you enjoy solving problems hands-on and helping others grow.
