Job Summary

A growing banking and consumer lending organization in Charleston, SC is seeking a Bank Operations Specialist for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented banking operations professional who enjoys supporting deposit operations, wire processing, fraud prevention, electronic banking services, and internal customer support.

The Bank Operations Specialist will play an important role in maintaining accurate transaction processing, protecting customer information, and helping ensure smooth daily branch and back-office operations. Key Responsibilities

- Process, input, and verify incoming and outgoing wire transfers according to established procedures and security controls.
- Review mobile deposits, remote deposits, checks, and other transactions for accuracy, endorsement requirements, and potential fraud concerns.
- Support debit card servicing, maintenance, issue resolution, and fraud or dispute review.
- Assist customers and internal teams with online banking inquiries, login access issues, system concerns, and functionality questions.
- Review daily reports to identify discrepancies, documentation errors, suspicious activity, or operational risk items.
- Provide timely and professional operational support by researching issues, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with internal departments by phone and email.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $50,000 to $57,000 per year.
- Location: Charleston, SC.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process and verify incoming and outgoing wire transfers.
- Review deposit, check, debit card, and electronic banking transactions for accuracy and fraud prevention.
- Monitor operational reports for discrepancies, documentation issues, and suspicious activity.
- Provide professional customer and internal support related to banking operations and electronic services.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of deposit operations or related banking operations experience required.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, transaction review, deposit processing, and fraud prevention practices.
- Ability to independently follow procedures, identify potential fraud, and take appropriate preventative action.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, time management, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential customer and financial information.
- Effective and professional communication skills with customers, colleagues, and internal departments.
- Flexibility and willingness to support multiple operational functions in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Wire processing experience strongly preferred.
- Fiserv Premier experience strongly preferred, but not required.
- Experience supporting debit card servicing, online banking inquiries, fraud review, or dispute resolution preferred.
- Prior experience in a bank branch support, deposit operations, or financial institution operations environment preferred.
